A Date with Dainty

A couple of weeks ago I got to team up with Dainty and try a bit of a different style of shoot that was new to both of us. We wanted to get a editorial feeling shoot with a kind of lazy Sunday/girl next door look, with a slight boudoir style to mix it up. We shot in Dainty’s apartment in Hiberian House in Sydney, which is an amazing building with so much character, and her apartment had so many amazing things inside which really added to the photos.

The second part of the shoot we teamed up with Paris from Paris Floyd Intimate Apparel, and she brought some of her beautiful garments over for us to shoot with. Guys, if you want to make your lady feel special or ladies if you want to treat yourself, go visit Paris and check out some of her amazing creations www.facebook.com/parisfloydintimateapparel.

It was a great shoot and thank you Dainty and Paris for being great to work with. Below are a few of the snaps from the shoot and you can see more of my work at www.takenbytim.com.au

Tuesday with Aleena

A month ago I finally got to shoot with the lovely Aleena. After a few shoots were ruined by horrible weather, we finally got out to shoot one afternoon around the cliffs at La Perouse. The clouds were still lingering around but we managed to snap off a few good shots in a completely new location for the both of us!

Aleena's background is a very unusual one but the combination definitely gives her a unique look and beauty. The half Mongolian, half Afghan optometry student was an absolute ball to be around and we had a great time shooting! In between her 5 days of uni a week and work, she also runs a fashion blog as well so check it out - www.iamaleena.blogspot.com.au/

If you're interested in shooting feel free to email me!

Brodie & Kathryn's Southern Highlands Wedding

When I first met these two, they described themselves as camera shy and un-photogenic. After doing an engagement shoot with them, I quickly found out that they were some of the most comfortable people in front of a camera I have shot. I could see the love they have for each other every time they looked at each other, and it got me excited for their big day.

They got married at Bendooley Estate in the Southern Highlands town of Berrima, a beautiful estate with stunning grounds, buildings and an amazing restaurant with walls lined with books (called the Bookbarn). I spent the hour before the wedding with Jay (my trusty second shooter) scoping out the grounds for ideas and spots to shoot and we were blown away! It was stunning.

The ceremony took place under a huge tree on the grounds, with a view of the grassy fields and the nearby lake, and it was a ceremony full of love and laughter. And the laughter was only going to get more as the day went on.

The combination of an awesome bridal party and a stunning location made for some great photos, and we all had a good laugh and a lot of fun! I could've kept shooting for hours!

The reception was epic, some hilarious and well done speeches, great food, classic photos from the photobooth and some serious dancing went down.

Kathryn and Brodie, you guys were amazing and thank you for letting me be a part of your big day!
