Carriageworks Photoshoot with www.sydneystyleedit.com

Another Sunday and another shoot with the lovely Kara Wilson from SydneyStyleEdit. A sunny and glarey Sunday afternoon made it a little challenging to shoot but once the sun hid behind the clouds we ran out to make the most of the even light.
We shot four different outfits in four different looking locations, but they were all within 150m of each other, thats the beauty of Carriagework in Redfern, you look left its roll doors, look right and its rusty banners and wooden doors, straight ahead an old decrepit weigh bridge looking building, and behind some cornet blocks and chain link fence…big variety in a small space!
This is just one of the four outfits, more to come soon!

Another shoot with Kara from www.sydneystyleedit.com

This one was shot on the same day as the previous one in the grubby warehouse, but the rain help off and we were able to venture out into the fresh air. The light was low and the rain was still present, but we managed to get a few shots in before the sun went to bed and before the rain got too heavy. A bit of a different edit style on this one, but thought hey why not try something new!

There will be a lot more shoots with Kara so stay tuned, the next lot leave these for dead (but need to wait till she has posted them on her site, don't want to be giving away her styling tips)

Shooting with Sydney Style Edit blogger, Kara Wilson

Last weekend I teamed up with the very talented stylist, fashion enthusiast and blogger Kara Wilson to shoot a few outfits for some upcoming posts. We had planned several locations, and of course when the time came to shoot, it was pouring rain, and the one covered location we had decided to be home to a event of some sort!
Clutching at straws for under cover locations, I remembered see an old, abandoned building I have driven past 100's of times thinking I wonder what its like in there, and just the other day I had driven past it and seen a window smashed and a roller door open, inviting urban explorers inside.
So we headed there and checked it out, and it was a diamond in the rough…Holes in the roof letting in a bit of light, but protecting us from the rain, graffiti and random rubble decorated the warehouse like building, and even some beautiful old rusted hanging lights suspended from the ceiling…we were in luck!
So we got shooting and Kara was rocking a grey get up that really popped of the ghetto background and got some great shots! Even though she only needed a handful of shots of her blog, we still took over 100 shots!
Stay tuned for some more shoots with Kara, as there are more to come, and be sure to go check out her blog and get your fashion tips and advice from www.sydneystyleedit.com

National Park Engagement shoot
with Kathryn & Brodie

These two lovebirds wanted to do an engagement/pre-wedding shoot before their big day cause they thought they were awkward in front of the camera…they thought wrong! They were so natural and relaxed, laughing at each other and giving me so much to work with! I can't wait to shoot their wedding in a few weeks!
Here's a few pics of the shoot, shot in the national park just near Loftus. Such a variety of locations in such a small area…I actually had my wedding photos taken here too haha.
Stay tuned for shots from their wedding at the end of March.
